De training is bedoeld voor personen die werken met NetApp-storagesystemen en zich bezighouden met de integratie van de NetApp-systemen met VMware vSphere 5-omgevingen. Ook voor personen die werken aan het onderhoud van een virtualisatiestructuur met dataopslag op een NetApp-storageomgeving is deze training waardevol.

Deelnemers moeten voorafgaand aan de training kennis hebben van NetApp-storagesystemen, VMware-virtualisatie, Linux en Windows Servers. Daarnaast wordt het aanbevolen de klassikale NetApp-training Data ONTAP 7-Mode Administration (D7ADM) en de klassikale VMware-training VMware vSphere 4 of VMware vSphere 5: Install, Configuration and Manage (VICM) te hebben gevolgd.

Doelstelling

This course covers the installation, configuration, and administration of an ESX/vSphere Server and focuses on optimal connectivity on NetApp Storage Systems using FCP, iSCSI, and NFS. Backup and Restore of VMware ESX/vSphere Server storage LUNs with ESX and NetApp are also covered, as is the planning and operation of VMware ESX Server and NetApp Storage Systems in a high availability scenario. Provide practical scenarios for implementing ESX/vSphere on NetApp utilizing utilities from both environments.
